Tammy K. - Dental Hygienist
I graduated in 1977 from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Dental Hygiene. I have held a license to practice in Minnesota, North Carolina, Texas and Colorado.
As a military spouse I have had the opportunity to work in many dental settings. I worked for the government when we were stationed in Germany, hospital dentistry with Scott and White where I worked with a Periodontist , a Prosthodontist who specialized in implants and multiple family oriented dental practices.
I love the profession of dental hygiene because of all the great people I get to meet. I also love the fact that I can make a difference in someone's life. There is so much satisfaction when I hear how much a patient enjoys coming to their appointment.
I married my high school sweetheart in 1977. The flexibility of being a dental hygienist allows me to travel and see my kids. I enjoy skiing, reading, and cooking.
Lana S. - Dental Hygienist
I have been in the dental field for 28 yrs. I started as an assistant while still in high school for a small town dentist and was trained in office. I continued to work as an assistant for the next ten years. I fell in love with the dental field. I graduated from Florida Community College of Jacksonville in 1999 with an A.S. in Dental Hygiene and worked for the same dentist in Fernandina Beach, FL for ten years as a hygienist. In May 2013, my husband, son and I moved to Boerne from Florida. After being at the same office for so many years I was searching to find my "dental home" here in Texas. October 2017 will be my two year anniversary working for Dr. Hatcher at Boerne Lifetime Dental.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and getting to know the wonderful people of Boerne.
Rachel D. - Front Office
I am a native Houstonian who fell in love with the Texas Hill Country, I moved here a few years ago and love everything about my new home. I am a certified medical and dental coding and insurance billing specialist. I'm also a former registered dental assistant. I have worked in nearly every aspect of dentistry for the past eleven years, and enjoy this field very much! Insurance billing is my favorite part of working in the front office. I also enjoy helping patients understand their insurance benefits and the best ways to maximize them. I have two beautiful little girls and we love discovering new places in the hill country.
I am so happy to be apart of the awesome team here at Lifetime Dental team. I look forward to assisting you soon.
Meghan S.- Registered Dental Assistant
I grew up in a small town near Lake Michigan, until I moved to Texas with my family when I was 11 years old. I have always felt drawn to Boerne and have spent much of the last five years in the area. I graduated as a Registered Dental Assistant in April of 2014. Since then, I have had the opportunity to work for a variety of different dentists at a couple different dental offices around San Antonio and the Hill Country area. I have fallen in love with working in dentistry. My favorite thing about being an RDA is that I get to play a part in building someone's confidence and restoring their oral health. In the future, I hope to attend UT Health Science Center San Antonio to complete a degree in Dental Hygiene.
On the weekends, I like to spend time with family, friends, and my two crazy dogs. My happy place is anywhere near the water and doing anything outdoors. I currently feel very fortunate to call Lifetime Dental my home, and I look forward to many more years to come.
Seleny A. - Registered Dental Assistant
I have lived in the Hill Country since moving here from my birthplace of California, at the age of four. My long term goal is to become a Registered Hygienist. I became a Registered Dental Assistant after going on a couple of dental mission trips to Guatemala and Peru. I feel privileged to be able to start my journey into dentistry learning from the wonderful people at Lifetime Dental. It gives me great joy to be apart of people's smiles.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, traveling, hiking, and exploring the great state of Texas.
